Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott, who have been friends since childhood, take trips together alongside NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott. Blaney recently shared a hilarious moment that took place between him and Senior Elliott. 

During his recent appearance on the podcast ‘Stacking Pennies,' the Team Penske driver opened up about the 2019 trip that the three took together.

Bill Elliott drove the group from Colorado to Utah for a biking trip, without any music or radio. To make matters worse, there was barely any conversion. 

Blaney tried to make small talk, but it was in vain as Senior Elliott just drove in silence for five hours. Recalling the incident, the #12 driver said, "Chase is like, ‘I’ve been around this my whole life. I know there’s gonna be no music. There’s gonna be no radio. No conversation. I’m sitting in the back.'"

"He set me up so good. It was great, though. It was fun. It was the best car ride I ever had.”

The Elliotts have been known to be very private and reserved. It all probably stems from the fact that during Bill Elliott's era, there was no social media. 

“And I didn’t have all this social media following me around either, saying how bad he felt or how good he felt. I went back to Dawsonville, and nobody could find my butt," Bill Elliott said.

And just like his father, Chase chooses to keep his life away from social media.  These parallels are quite difficult to miss when it comes to the Father-Son duo.

The father-son duo raced at SRX in 2021 at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

The Elliotts put up a show for the fans while battling it out on the track. However, it was Chase who emerged victorious in that race. 

Earlier this year, while talking to Kevin Harvick on his podcast 'Happy Hour,' he said that he would not want to race his father again. "The moment that we had in Nashville at the SRX race was so top tier that I almost don’t want to do it again.”

“We had so much fun with that, and I just don’t know that we could ever tee that up and have a night be more fun," he remembered.

Chase shared the podium in that race with Tony Stewart in second place and Bill Elliott in third.
