Dale Earnhardt Jr. feels Richard Childress Racing should take care of Kyle Busch instead of replacing him. Junior's statement surfaced days after a possible link to Jesse Love's arrival at RCR gained pace.
"Everybody believes that Kyle is one of the most talented guys behind the wheel," Earnhardt Jr said in the recent Dale Jr. Download podcast. "All his fans absolutely believe that he should be running up front."
Following this, the former driver and the team owner shed light on how removing Busch was not the way out, and instead, he would have kept the two-time Cup Series champion in the team if he were the owner.
"And so, I'm gonna, if I'm RCR, and I'm Richard. Childress, I'm going to be trying to get Kyle, run a better, and I'm going to do whatever I can to make that happen. To keep Kyle from leaving," Earnhardt Jr. added.

Notably, Kyle Busch is going through the worst phase of his career in NASCAR. The #8 driver is winless for the last 104 races, and his last victory came back in 2023, the very first year of his RCR stint.
Ever since, he remained winless on multiple occasions in the Cup Series, and as a result, his former crew chief, Jim Pohlman, was replaced by Andy Street. While Busch's luck hasn't been solid in the Cup Series, he now has all his attention in the Truck Series.
Kyle Busch targets Texas Truck Series race win
Keeping the NASCAR Cup and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series races away, Kyle Larson has now targeted the Truck Series at Texas. Busch, who is the winningest Truck driver in the sport, commented on it:
"Texas is a track where I’ve had a lot of success in the Truck Series, including a win with Spire a couple of years ago. We had a lot of speed in our HendrickCars.com Silverado at Atlanta, and I know (Carson) Hocevar was really fast at Texas last year, so hopefully we can capitalize on the speed that Spire is bringing to the mile-and-a-half tracks and add another trophy to the trophy case," Busch further added.
His stats at Texas have been fairly good, almost as good as Bristol. He's won six of his last 51 races there.
The Richard Childress Racing driver will drive for Spire Motorsports on Friday and will be in charge of the #7 Chevrolet Silverado Truck.
