Two weeks on since Kyle Busch’s death, fans and drivers alike have continued to share their memories with the late driver. Amy Earnhardt joins the list as she shared a story that changed the way she and Dale Jr. viewed Busch.
The 41-year-old driver was hospitalized with ‘severe illness.' Just a few hours later, his family announced that Busch had passed away after ‘pneumonia that progressed into sepsis.’ Since then, tons of stories have been pouring out.
During a recent episode of ‘Bless Your 'Hardt,' Amy Earnhardt opened up about an incident that took place at the very peak of the Earnhardt Jr-Busch rivalry. She revealed that the incident took place during the Daytona 500 when Busch was running the M&M’s livery.
She recalled that Dale Jr. was in a bad mood and they were not expecting any visitors when they heard a knock on the door. To their surprise, it was Busch.
“And so I’m like, ‘Dale it’s Kyle Busch.’ And he goes, ‘No s***?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, it’s Kyle. I’m not answering it. You better get over here.’ He comes up off the couch and peaks out the door, and he just kind of props it open a little bit, and is like, ‘Hey man, what’s up?’ And I could hear him audibly say very loudly, ‘Happy Valentine’s Day!’ And he’s got bags of the M&Ms to share.”

She went on saying what was in the bag.
"And both of us were kind of like, really? You brought candy? There’s pink, there’s red, there’s all kinds of flavors here. He gave him like four or five bags of candy. He was smiling; he was happy. It was like a version of Kyle I had never seen before, either," she added.
Dale Jr. and Busch's rivalry began back in 2008 during the race at Richmond. The two were fighting for the win when ‘the Rowdy’ spun Earnhardt Jr. around. This rivalry lasted for a long time.
Busch himself reached out to Dale after his retirement to mend things. Since then, the two have been good friends. The two even had plans that remained unfulfilled.

In the tribute shared by Earnhardt Jr. in light of Rowdy’s passing on social media, he spoke about their complicated relationship over the years. He also spoke about a plan that the two were working on.
Dale Jr. revealed that Busch wanted to race in JR Motorsports' late model car in the CARS tour with the iconic No. 8.
“Most recently, we had even been discussing him running my Late Model at Wilkesboro this summer. He seemed extremely happy, and we had planned to meet up next Thursday to get his seat to the shop,” Earnhardt Jr. said.
Kyle Busch left behind his legacy with 234 victories across all of NASCAR’s divisions. And hold the record for most wins in the truck series with 69 wins.
