NASCAR has had its presence almost everywhere in America, except for the northwest. But that longstanding absence could change, as Fox Sports broadcaster Kaitlyn Vincie is taking a step for it, prompting fan reactions.

Taking to her official X account, Vincie wrote, "I am petitioning now for a NASCAR race in Montana." Her tweet makes it clear she wants a race there even though she is from Virginia.

Situated in the North West, Montana is a major economic driver of the United States on multiple fronts. It has crucial natural resources such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas. It is the leading producer of wheat and livestock.

It is home to the renowned Glacier National Park and the Yellowstone National Park, as recreation and tourism make the state's largest source of income. And by geography, Montana is the fourth-largest state by area, the third-largest by population density but the eighth-least by population.

Apart from this, even though Montana does not have a major track for NASCAR, the state still has short tracks like Mission Valley Super Oval, Electric City Speedway, and Gallatin Speedway.

And the fans have resonated with Vincie's sentiment.

Taking to his social media, a fan replied to Kaitlyn Vincie's X post, "I don't know why there isn't a track there already. If "Yellowstone" had taught me anything it's that the purchase and transfer of land in Montana is a simple and always uncontroversial process."

Another fan wrote, "Can we fit Cup cars on the Mission Valley Super Oval? It’s a 3/8 mile track in Polson, Montana. Right on a lake in a great camping area. @markmartin was Daniel Dye’s crew chief for a race there a few years back."

Mission Valley Super Oval is one of Montana's premier grassroots racing venues and hosts the prestigious annual Montana 200 Super Late Model race. NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin served as Daniel Dye's crew chief there in 2022.

"Starting the petition now to move the two mile speedway from Fontana to Billings, Montana," wrote another fan on the same issue.

The fan was jokingly referring to the now-defunct 2-mile Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. Its future has been uncertain since NASCAR abandoned its plans to convert it into a short track and sold much of the property.

"Dude Utah Wyoming Montana have some huge NASCAR circles, a race close by for us would be insane," another fan wrote, signifying the importance of racing in Montana.

Another fan wrote on the same line, saying, "A NASCAR race on the streets of Bozeman would be awesome."

With that said, Montana holds a considerable fanbase of NASCAR in the state, and it will be interesting to see if NASCAR finally listens to Vincie's plea to ramp up the infrastructure there and have a race in the coming years.
