Martin Truex Jr Steps Back Into NASCAR After Quiet Exit in 2024

NASCAR on Prime is all set to make its comeback for a second season. Along with the series, Martin Truex Jr will also make his NASCAR return.

The company will be bringing back the pre- and post-race coverage, which made some of their broadcast rivals look like they brought a knife to a gun fight.

On Tuesday, Prime announced its lineup for the race coverage across the upcoming Cup Series feature races. While the platform announced its star-studded lineup with Carl Edwards, Mark Martin, Brad Keselowski, and Jeff Gordon, Truex Jr is what got the fans talking.

NASCAR on Prime will make a comeback at the Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. The former Tricon Garage driver has 11 top-5s and 16 top-10s at the speedway, which is sure to give the prime viewers a unique perspective of the race.

The 2017 NASCAR Cup Series champion will make a great addition to the panel, as he will bring with him his Next Gen expertise to the coverage. Before this, Brad Keselowski was the only driver with knowledge about the Next Gen cars.

Before retiring from the series, the 45-year-old made 694 race starts and drove for various teams. He bagged 34 wins and led 12,000 laps.

With all this experience, Martin Truex Jr is sure to bring a unique perspective, further providing the prime users with a unique experience.

Martin Truex Jr opens up about his aviation company

After hanging up his racing gloves in 2024, Truex Jr has kept himself busy with fishing and hunting. However, he added a professional venture to his name, and that is MTJ, his aviation company.

His company primarily caters to NASCAR drivers. However, the company took a hit during the pandemic in 2020.

This led him to try something new, and that was to help with the surgical team and organ transportation. While talking to Sports Rush, Martin Truex Jr said, “[Flying these organ missions] was a real blessing and it’s been a great experience.”

Ever since, the company has stuck to helping with organ transportation to patients in need. They managed to expand their operations and add five  Beechcraft 400 XPs in its fleet.

“We don’t want to get away from why we started this and why it’s working for us now. Strategically growing it and being able to deliver the things that got us where we’re at, I think, is important to understand and keep in mind.”

Ever since, the company has expanded its fleet of flights to 25-30 business jets. And nearly 50% of their revenue is generated from transporting medical teams and organs.
