Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing Aims for the Title After Reddick's Kansas Win

Tyler Reddick has now won five out of the first nine races this season, and with that, the 23XI team has expressed confidence in their position.

Reddick sits first in the standings, 105 points ahead of 23XI's co-owner and JGR driver Denny Hamlin. His fifth win in nine races makes him the first driver since Dale Earnhardt to achieve that feat. In 1987, when Earnhardt did it, he went on to win the title.

Michael Jordan’s 23XI is looking down that same road, and the signs from the team are positive.

Speaking to the press, 23XI President Steve Lauletta said, “I think the missing part has been really executing across the board. Our pit crew have taken a big step forward. Everybody worked really hard in the off-season to refine our processes and communication.”

He said, “We’re only nine races now into our six seasons. Still a lot of work to be done.”

Lauletta did highlight the positives, saying, “We feel like we are right where we need to be in terms of bringing the type of speed to any kind of race track that we’re going to go to this year and then leave it to everybody to execute the best we can.”

23XI Drivers Heading Into the Chase

While Reddick has been on the top of the standings with a dominant lead over the field with a total of 457 points, his teammates have been trying to find similar speed.

Reddick is the only 23XI driver to have won this season. With nine races completed, Bubba Wallace is currently eighth with 275 points and can put up a competitive fight for the Chase.

Ahead of the race in Talladega, Riley Herbst sits 28th with 132 points. With the pace Reddick has shown, taking leads and race wins at crucial moments, 23XI will be hoping their other drivers can find similar consistency.

Reddick's five wins underline his team's early-season execution. Maintaining that performance across different tracks, with clean pits and race strategy, will show how the form is carried across the season.
