Kyle Busch’s family is still reeling from the tragic loss of his life, and while the mourning for NASCAR’s winningest driver continues, the questions about the future of the causes he stood for have come into the picture.
In 2015, the Busches started the Bundle of Joy Fund, meant to support families who couldn’t afford IVF treatment. A large part of the Bundle of Joy Fund came from Busch’s earnings. But with Busch gone, there were concerns about whether The Bundle of Joy Funs would cease to exist.
Samantha Busch and her Bundle of Joy team have cleared it up, and there is no confusion about the noble project’s future. On a post from The Bundle of Joy Fund’s Instagram account, it was confirmed that they would continue the good work.
The heartfelt post read, “With Samantha leading the way, we remain more committed than ever to carrying this mission forward. We will continue growing, advocating, and expanding access to fertility care.”
Bundle of Joy came from the couple's own long battle with infertility. After years of struggle, the couple went through their IVF procedure, and they understood the value of the privilege they had in being able to afford the treatment.
While the foundation's post read that Bundle of Joy would continue fighting for families and creating hope, it also said, “Most importantly, we will continue this work in Kyle’s honour. Because the greatest way to celebrate his life is to keep building the legacy he helped create, one family, one miracle, and one bundle of joy at a time.”
Impact of The Bundle of Joy Fund
In the last 11 years, the Bundle of Joy Fund has provided 178 grants to couples to go through the IVF treatment.
With over $2 million provided, the fund has helped bring 111 babies into the world for couples looking for their bundle of joy.
Samantha and her team thanked Kyle Busch’s well-wishers, who have been contributing to the fund in Kyle’s memory. They aim to keep up the good work to continue helping those that Kyle Busch wanted to support through the fund.
On the foundation's site, Samantha expressed knowing the importance of the funds.
“We faced a rollercoaster of hope and devastation that so many families know all too well…We also experience the staggering financial burden as a result of infertility treatment.
"One day, sitting in the waiting room of our fertility clinic, we overheard another couple say that money was the only thing standing between them and the chance for a baby.”
That was the moment the Buschs decided to start the fund and help those facing similar struggles. One that Samantha pledges to continue.
