The Cracker Barrel 400 race at Nashville delivered a race with multiple crashes and restarts. But there was a multicar crash involving Bubba Wallace and Alex Bowman that caught a lot of attention.
On Lap 205, Carson Hocevar slid up into Chris Buescher, causing him to get loose on Turns 1 and 2, which led him to wreck into the 23 XI Racing driver. William Byron got collected by Wallace, who then made contact with an incoming Bowman and spun the Hendrick Motorsports driver around.
While in the media pen giving their post-race interviews, the two had an honest exchange and apologized. Bowman explained to the 23XI driver how he tried to avoid the wreck. He said (via Fronstretch on YouTube):
"Sorry, dude, I tried to get low. I didn't see it. I don't know if I should have gone down there."

During the first two stages of the race, each driver scored points in at least one stage. Moreover, Bowman got as high as second in the second stage of the 400-lap race before the DNF.
As it stands, after 14 races, the Hendrick Motorsports driver stands in 33rd place with 160 points, while the 23XI Racing driver stands in 15th with 338 points, just on the Chase bubble.
"I'm Tired": Bubba Wallace Expresses Frustration After Nashville Crash
Bubba Wallace has had a significant downturn in the past few races. In four of the last five races, the 23XI Racing driver has finished outside the top 20, including two DNFs.
After the crash in Nashville, while talking to the media, Wallace expressed his frustration about the recent slump. He said:
"Just minding our own business yet again. Another week that our team doesn't get the finish that we deserve. I'm tired, man. It's hard to be in the same boat constantly every week, and you gotta figure out how to put it behind you and show up."
He further added, "I somehow become the bad guy days following this. So, I gotta figure out how to be better and learn from it. It's really freaking hard when you're driving your best and just trying to make progress throughout the race, and you get wiped out. So, onto Michigan."
During NASCAR’s last few outings at Michigan, Bubba Wallace has finished the race in the Top five twice, including a podium in 2022. He will be looking forward to regrouping and getting another such finish at the track to get his 2026 Cup campaign back on track.
