Jeff Dickerson and TJ Puchyr founded Spire Motorsports back in 2018 as a subsidiary of Spire Sports + Entertainment. Initially, they entered as one of the underdogs, but over the years, they climbed up to the top. And now, they spread their wings and entered different ventures, moving away from traditional NASCAR elites.

Spire Motorsports is diversifying its racing portfolio with a major entry into the Sprint car world. The team recently acquired a $400,000 charter to launch its High Limit Racing program.

Major NASCAR teams such as Hendrick Motorsports and Richard Childress Racing mainly operate in the NASCAR Cup Series and its lower divisions. However, Spire went outside of its comfort zone and ventured into Sprint car racing and is looking formidable with major upcoming plans.

"What High Limit did with that, with their own kind of charter system. We saw that as an opportunity," Jeff Dickerson said. "We got lucky that Jason Myers and those guys wanted to get off the road. And, you know, we put a bid in for it. I mean, we had it done pretty quick, just like this. A lot of people thought we were stupid. So we'll take our chances."

Ahead of the 2026 season, Spire Motorsports acquired the High Roller Club membership (charter/franchise) in High Limit Racing. They purchased it from Jason Myers Racing at a deal of $400,000 to put Giovanni Gio Scelzi.

However, Spire also kept their focus on the Cup Series and their star driver, Carson Hocevar. Hocevar, who enjoys racing in other series, apart from NASCAR, to receive proper backing from the team, reckoned Dickerson.

"You got a guy like Carson, he wants to race. Right. And so running that dirt late model program and getting them out there. And, you know, you got to keep guys like that busy there. They want to race. And look, you guys have seen him. You know, the fan base is just really just kind of like wrap their arms around them and support them," he further added.

While Spire Motorsports has always been a contender for race wins, in 2026, they rose above expectations and won two races in quick succession. Firstly, it was Carson Hocevar at Talladega, and then Daniel Suarez at Charlotte.

Daniel Suarez claimed the victory at the recently concluded Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The win came after NASCAR called off the race in Lap 373 due to wet weather conditions.

"It really means a lot," said Suarez on the win. "It really means a lot. I've been saying for years, this is my favorite race of the year. I get to have my family here every year. This is most of the time the only race I get to come."

With this, Suarez picked the third win of his career, and the second win of the season for Spire Motorsports. Joe Gibbs Racing's Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin finished in the podium places in the race.
