Tony Stewart’s Passionate Eldora Move Has Fans Asking: "What Is It That (He) Can't Do?”

Owning a track does not stop at just putting your name and stepping away. It comes with a load of other responsibilities. And NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart understands this.

In a recent video shared via Eldora Speedway’s social media, Stewart can be seen overseeing repair work via a video call. The 2025 regular-season NHRA champion is currently in New England, where the NHRA finals are underway. This has left the fans in awe of Stewart's dedication.

"Smoke" purchased the Speedway back in 2004 from legendary promoter Earl Baltes, who had owned the track since 1954. Nicknamed "Auto Racing's Showcase since 1954," the half-mile oval features corners banked at 24 degrees and a seating capacity of over 22,000.

Under Baltes’ management, the track was host to various events such as the Kings Royal, the Historic Big One for sprint cars, and the Dream for Late Model cars.

The Tony Stewart-owned speedway recently held the 32nd Dirt Late Model Dream. It is currently undergoing preparations for the upcoming Jack Hewitt Challenge on June 16th.

Fans React to Tony Stewart’s Dedication to Eldora Speedway

NASCAR fans took to the comment section of the X post to praise the three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion's dedication to the track. One fan wrote:

“What is it that this man can't do??? IndyCar Champion NASCAR Champion & NHRA Champ too, yet never forgot his roots in dirt racing.”

Another fan pointed out how the effort of the staff at the track goes unnoticed. They wrote:

“People never show enough respect to track owners & prep crews. Obviously this is even more of a responsibility at a place like Eldora but dirt tracks across the country are constantly discussing weather, track prep, moving dirt, etc. It's hard work. Major respect.”

Yet another fan pointed out why people love Stewart, writing:

“He is all business!  People love his drive and focus!”

A fan also praised the three-time NASCAR champion's dedication to Sprint cars.

“Who says he's not passionate about sprints still,” read their message.

While another fan expressed their desire to see Stewart race in the Late Model once again, writing:

“Can we get Tony back in late model like the Prelude days lol”

Tony Stewart has won multiple Prelude to the Dream late model races at the Eldora Speedway.
