During NASCAR’s biggest race of the year, the day kicked off with a heartfelt tribute to the late Kyle Busch. It was during this tribute that Owen Larson gained a lot of praise from the fans. 

During the emotional tribute led by NASCAR CEO Steve O’Donnell, along with the drivers and the Busch family, Samantha and Brexton were seen breaking down. It was during this that fans noticed Kyle Larson’s son walking over to his friend to comfort him.

“You know, when Owen walked over there to put his arm around Brexton, that made me obviously very, very proud of him, and to see that emotion on Owen's face when he came back over," Larson said of the heartfelt moment during his interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Ever since the video of the same has gone viral across all social media platforms, many have praised Larson and his wife, Katelyn, for their upbringing.

The ‘Rowdy,’ as he came to be known among the NASCAR fans, passed away on May 21st after he was hospitalized for 'severe illness.' On Saturday, in a statement put out by the Busch family, it was revealed to be 'pneumonia that progressed into sepsis.’  

The two-time NASCAR champion left his mark on the sport with 234 wins across all three of NASCAR's divisions. He also holds the record for most wins in the Truck series, with his 69th win coming in just 11 days before his death. 

Beyond his on-track achievements, Kyle Busch also excelled as a team owner with the help of his fellow rival.

The late two-time NASCAR champion founded his own team back in 2010 and began competing in the truck series. They had great success in the series as the team won a record-breaking 100 wins and the most wins in a single season. 

While reflecting on his relationship with Kyle, the FOX analyst Kevin Harvick revealed his contribution toward KBM via his X post. 

“Before he started his truck team, he called me and asked how we did it. Brought him to my shop, showed him everything, we had handed him my company budget, and off he went!” 

On the track, the two shared the fiercest rivalry, but they also bonded over their teams and their sons, Keelan Harvick and Brexton Busch, who are budding NASCAR drivers.
